Here in the Luxembourg Garden in Paris is the original bronze on which the Statue of Liberty was modelled. Next to it is an American oak planted in memory of the victims of 9/11. An apt reminder that Europe and France have long been friends of the USA, not adversaries as imagined by President Trump.

Hurrah for Secret Garden Café at Prior Park Garden Centre. Efficient and friendly table service that includes an extra pot of hot water to make full use of the loose leaf tea 😁 Lady Passmore would approve!
