“Hiring a lifetime that’s elided elsewhere” would be a great title
to follow the calculator comparison above, these things are like calculators that cost 1000x as much and are slightly easier to use but give the wrong answer half the time. That’s not rly a threat to profs; it’s a threat to the students who use these tools and the companies that make them

I’m not sure educators need to do all that much bc 1) these things usually write, like, D papers, not A papers, and 2) openAI is likely to go belly-up in the next cpl years — these tools and the companies associated w/ them are unsustainable in every sense and thus a problem that solves itself
