One of the solutions proposed is to create a professional register - because, as Bridget Phillipson put it, these staff are professionals. Should we be saying the same of specialist drug / alcohol / recovery workers? Is the government's workforce strategy sufficient? 3/3

Had some South African wine with family on Boxing Day and was surprised and interested to see the warning in these specific terms: #alcohol is #addictive. I'm not sure this is exactly how I'd phrase things, but certainly thought-provoking.

A sensible, helpful article that encourages us to look beyond simple and easily identifiable 'villains' like social media if we're thinking about young people's health and wellbeing. I like this section that emphasises the well-known factors that affect mental health.

An interesting journey up to London this morning, with conversations overheard on the train including a long discussion between two 20-something women about their experiences of taking magic mushrooms - then coincidentally as I walked across the Thames I saw this graffiti on Hungerford Bridge.
