Gaining more control over the mortar sculpting in Substance 3D… now back to the rocks. After a 4–5 month side quest, I feel I’ve reached a good enough level of knowledge. Now, the next step is to focus on finishing this whole project. Post-apocalyptic weapon waiting patiently in Substance Painter.

A 3 month detour to wrap my head around the RGB texturing process and find a material workflow that resonates with me. Also, hitting a high enough quality bar to match the rest of the project.

From 2048 to 8192 pressure levels. This feels way better. Time to go back and retouch those rocks. I love how I can just refresh the height map in SD and boom.

I’ve spend the past years in CAD and neglected texturing and materials. Working hard this past year, when I have time, on a new portfolio piece that challenges me to grow. That said, I love what they have done to Substance Painter. Anchor points = joy.
