Ah, by "nothing" you were referring specifically to protests. yes, you're right. There have been many protests here, but they're mostly small ones... from a few hundred to a thousand or so people.

3 mil protestors is awesome turnout. It seems Europeans are much better at getting off the couch actually doing something to stand up for what they believe. Like you alluded to, your history has made you more sensitive to what can happen if we're not careful.

Yes, I get some news about Germany here (from BBC and occasionally NPR)... but not too much, unfortunately. I did see the clip of Elon speaking at the AfD rally. 🤦‍♂️

"no need to worry yet" is what many people here in the US (including everyone on the right) seem to tell themselves... not sure when, if ever, they'll decide to pull their heads out of the sand.
