I was taken aback at the lack of pushback to Warmans defence of Katie Lam and Robert Jenrick. Did the panel consider it impolite to mention Lam proposed deporting 3.5 million people alongside the race baiting or Jenrick claiming that areas with a minority of white brits are not integrated?

Which is precisely why Ukraine wants to be in the EU. As does Georgia, most of the Western Balkans. Hell Armenia's been looking hopeful on the potential accession list
November 3, 2025 at 12:50 PM
Principally that was Putins fear from Georgia and Ukrainian EU membership, not only removing both countries from Russian orbit but giving them the ability to defend themselves from Russian attempts to bring them back in
November 3, 2025 at 12:40 PM
Right. But by that standard neither could NATO? Neither organisation has actual militaries to its name but they use mutual defense clauses to bring their members to each other's defense. One has been used, ISAF in Afghanistan, and the EU's hasn't yet but it still exisits
November 3, 2025 at 12:38 PM
I think the issue is, that while there is a mutual defence clause and the EU's latest joint defense plans point to increasing cooperation and development of logistical capability, NATO has been the defacto prism by which operations and multinational structures have been established
November 3, 2025 at 12:35 PM
There's a mutual defense clause as part of the EU membership. Had Russia invaded, it would have triggered a wider conflict. Not to mention invading Sweden and Finland would have been even bloodier for Russia
