I reread it along with the Milieu books. They were more beautiful and powerful than I remembered, but also far more disturbing.

Are these still available? I can't seem to find the "take my money" button on the website.

I am an adult and do not wish to get a credit card just to prove my age.

I'm rereading the Hive Mind series by the amazing @janetedwardssf.bsky.social . A fascinating setting, Conan Doyle level mysteries and characters that you care about. I just love this series (and everything by the author).

I was in Kuwait in the 50sC. Not a fun experience.

I too played on a black and white tv and thus developed a highly trained eye for specific shades of grey.

I love that book and I love your artwork, yet I have never seen this cover. Knowing the story this illustration is deeply evocative. Thank you so much for sharing.

This Time of Darkness by H.M. Hoover. Totally blew my mind. Tracked down a copy as an adult and it held up.

Thanks for posting. I'm interested in all the things, but I'm mostly here for the BBC/Acorn stuff.

I loved book 3, it has a bit of a different feel, more of a mystery, but I thought it was excellent. I'm really looking forward to book 4 too.

This genuinely happened to me in school. I just kept politely correcting my teacher's mistakes until he said "Well, why don't you take the class, eh?". I went up the front and ran the rest of the lesson.

You are right. People are people, your child is your child. I don't see why understanding these facts would be age related.

Ok, I'm sold on the cat.

Wow! This sounds right up my street. RSS clearly visible (so many podcasts don't) so I'm subscribed and eagerly awaiting further episodes. Thanks!

The Children of Time Audiobooks are great. The Telling by Ursula LeGuin is the best I've ever listened to. I've just finished listening to Embassytown by China Miéville and if you want your brain to ache (in a good way) give it a listen.
