He/him. UK. I post trite opinions on global events. Big fan of freedom.
I'm really not sure how I feel about this statement. Not showing Ukrainian refugees because it would change the scale of the chart. Erm?

Also of note in passing, all those denials that Brexit was xenophobia and racism disguised as a desire for regulatory and economic sovereignty... are laughable

53% of Leave voters said immigration (in general) is bad.
18% of Remain voters said that.
November 16, 2025 at 1:37 PM
51% of people surveyed in 2023 said it should be the same or easier for refugees to immigrate.

37% wanted it to be more difficult. Only 22% a lot more difficult.

Note also the racialised attitudes towards refugees - only 8% wanted it to be harder for Ukrainian refugees.

There is consent...

The Home Secretary: "I know illegal migration is causing huge divides here in our own country, and I do believe we need to act if we are to retain public consent for having an asylum system at all."

Er, there is a majority of consent for refugees, stop listening to the weirdos and tabloids? Proof 🧵

We currently have less tax revenue than the OECD average. We also have historically high levels of tax for the UK, but we also have an ageing population and the threat of war and new trade barriers so...

The lack of censure for these racist morons should alarm every sane person in the country.

These idiots have always been around but the failure to condemn their plans for literal ETHNIC CLEANSING is shocking. They should be outside civilised society.

Although this could easily be a Russian op on X

For reference this is where Farage went to school, which he thinks was socially mixed 🙄 pretty typical British experience right?

I feel like his vocal reaction is because his relationship with Russia is worse than publicly disclosed.

Many appearances on RT. His Leave EU fellows have repeatedly met with a hostile government

Increase taxes. The ageing population trend isn't stopping.

The largest single public spending category is pensions at £150bn. And 'welfare' can't just mean people with less voting power like disabilities, universal credit and children.

And nationalising the utilities would save about £8bn a year

Labour manifesto 2024, page 1, pretty interesting

The UK is the world's second largest film production hub after the US. And after a lavish state visit Trump has decided to put 100% tariffs on non-US film production.

Some gratitude.

Also, unconstitutional and I'm not sure how you can pretend the film industry is a national security matter but 🤷

Hmm, someone else got paid for media appearances while an MEP. Someone else also made many appearances on Russian state propaganda programmes in that time period. But this is the UK so we get to just pretend it didn't happen

Fascist white supremacists have taken over America. The UK needs to figure out how to disengage, not host lavish trips.

Here Trump is calling a congresswoman 'scum' because she is not a white immigrant (like say Musk).

And inciting hatred against a group of people. I've seen this before.
September 19, 2025 at 9:42 AM
So after all those front pages with Lucy Connolly being treated as a free speech martyr, we're going to see front pages about the people arrested for projecting a publicly available image of Trump and Epstein onto Windsor castle too right? Right?
September 17, 2025 at 4:51 PM
Obviously this is all bs. Two things though - the US is clearly scared that Qatar will tell them to leave Al Udeid Air Base.

And secondly - Trump said the US warning to Qatar was too late to stop the attack? What? How would they have stopped it without intercepting Israeli aircraft?

Note how the only newspapers which aren't rabidly right-wing are edited by women. The Mirror, Guardian, Observer, and FT. The FT is the only UK national paper with a non-white editor afaik.

And for whether I'm right to call the rest rabid, may I present:

Why is the UK currently convulsing itself with racist discourse?

Dunno but do we think 14 out of 15 national newspaper editors being white and mostly men might be a factor? Lets not even start on ownership.

See what I mean if you scroll this whole page 👇

This from the ONS is relevant - although NRS isn't an exact match for class it can be matched to ethnicity (unlike the Great British Class Survey).

The two bars on the right are traditionally shorthand for working class (C2 and D, E) - the true working class isn't white men, it's a minority female

An aside, but the gigantic new White House flags, bit fascist no?
