Find it incredible that the service to Niagara is SO infrequent.

In the short term at least this will cause a sharp drop in number of properties available to rent, driving up prices.

Of course Eurostar could spend money on investing in services to see off any competition. But no they’ll spend it on an appeal instead.

We could always deploy a Kinder egg instead (banned in the US because they’re dangerous).

Weird how so many other long distance operators whose services have intermediate stops seem to have figured out how to manage this…

Yet food in the UK is relatively cheap compared to many countries.

I understand not even Porto-Vigo is direct at the moment and involves a change.

Yeah but they *will* be the first! Let’s hope they can innovate in service and pricing if not routes.

Far North line has a comparable service to much more populated areas of France. Eg when I had to travel from Amiens to Rouen a few years ago there were but 4 trains a day, and not evenly spaced either.

Love that she cites the ability to work on board as a key reason to take train over plane but the awful wifi onboard Eurostar makes anything other than offline work impossible.

You said he should say that we should rejoin the EU, I gave one big reason why he won’t, what seems to me an entirely fair point. Thanks for reminding me though why I largely stay silent on social media, a polite reply is met by snarky sarcasm. Twice.

Not really any need for the sarcasm. That’s how it’s often presented though, simply as ‘let’s rejoin’ and no debate as to whether it’s even possible. Believe me me, I’d dearly like to.

There’s no point him saying we’ll rejoin when he can’t deliver that - the EU won’t consider an application without a greater level of political consensus behind it. It’s not just up to us.

Glasgow is unfortunately not good at making the most of its history and heritage. See the closure of the Lighthouse and continuing demolitions of historic buildings.
