@joeclowery.bsky.social do you really believe that MLS teams are losing money? What is the basis for that belief? With the cap and attendance and the TV money doesn't MLS break even at a minimum? The other major American sports seem to make money. See the ATL braves which has public financials.

@johnspacemuller.com how much of the attendance drop is due to the galaxy being bad again and their attendance being down? Also the league keeps squeezing on prices so it's hard to go a bunch of times

@seanfennessey.bsky.social Vegas just got too expensive. Pina colada from a machine is $32 at the pool. Comp drinks are rare. Table minimum is $25 a hand at the cheap hotels on the strip. So many rooms are $400 a night plus resort fee.
Everything is made to just milk every dollar and it's not fun.

@lakerfilmroom.bsky.social The Giannis stuff in two years is a wildly foolish plan. Just look back two years and how different the league was. There is so much change every year. waiting for a 32 yo with a bad back is just a bad idea. Focus on the top 5 guy you have.

The AD-Luka deal is reminiscent of the Porzingas out of the NY Knicks in the shock value and the seemingly underwhelming return.Time proved Phil was correct in his assessment so I hope that this time it doesn't go in a similar direction.

@totalsoccershow.bsky.social one reason that you don't see more stands named after people is that once the stand is named after your club legend it becomes tough to rename it so you would have fewer stands to name over time.
