Tarver bill passes. Rep LaPointe up now on a bill to increase insurance reimbursements for mental health. Major improvement in access to therapy for folks who can’t pay out of pocket. Passes with bipartisan support, to some applause.

So of course this all starts with COVID. CTA ridership fell off dramatically during the pandemic, which cost the system billions. The federal government stepped in with relief funds to keep the systems running.
Ridership recovered steadily, but never to pre-pandemic levels.
