We made a very good go of spinning up a vibrant (and often happy) music/club scene and enjoying the good bits of London in the early 90s.

If they believe they’re in danger, then flight is a rational response. Perhaps “misguided” would have been a more apt term than “gutless cowards”. In your analysis, surely your complaint is that they’ve overestimating the danger rather than displaying cowardice.

“They're (Snyder etc) gonna flee and leave their country to the fascists.” - This seems like strong language if, as you now suggest, there isn’t any real danger to “leave their country to”. 🤷🏼♂️

I remain grateful that my wife’s great grandfather was enough of a gutless coward to get his family out of Berlin before they call all be sent to the death camps.
