I'm a UVA fan and it would obviously benefit UVA, but we can't be having 7th year college athletes, regardless of sport or circumstance.

I get the hope of the splash raising funds, but the track record they have says those donors aren't really there.

I also think folks are DRAMATICALLY underestimating the resources he is about to have. He's recruited VA well at PSU because literally all the "haves" programs in the country recruit VA well at this point.

But the sports media, et al, told us Fuente and Pry were can't miss, 100% going to return them to the glory days. Until Franklin proves other, I just think they're a 6-6 to 8-4 program. Mike Vick was a long time ago

I (UVA fan) agree, but the last two hires have also been lauded as the greatest hire VT has ever made. Until proven otherwise I think we should assume they're just a 6-6 to 8-4 program.
(I think a lot of sports media just want it to be '99 still and Mike Vick was cool)
