Whew, 40 books for the year so far.

I liked The Midnight Library, but it left me wanting more. Like the theme was reasonably explored, but there's parts that were missed but could have been very cool.

Still, really well done exploration of regret and want, and how that can lead to dangerous places

Continuing to keep up my walking. Just hit over 1,200 miles walked/run in the past year! I'm closing in on the 10k average steps daily milestone!

@wilsonforseattle.bsky.social made me excited to start voting as a new Seattle resident.

Moving from Texas, it's great to now live in a city/state that seems to *want* me to vote and be aware of what's going on in local politics.

On the bus and it's filled with people on their way to the Seattle No Kings protest!

Nice to be starting to get involved with a local queer running group - the Seattle Frontrunners

Beat both my 1-mile and my 10km times this morning!

I know it's not the same thing, but I feel a teeensy bit of my teenage rebellion bringing in a book that has "Anarchist Cookbook" in the title to work

Had a great first run with the Seattle Frontrunners tonight. On my own I stick to a 10-minute pace, but running with people made it easy to sustain a 9-minute pace.

With Katabasis, I've read 30 books this year. Which is pretty sweet since on average each has been over 500 pages.

Woohoo, I've run and walked over 1,000 miles the past year. Now that I live in Seattle, I regularly walk ~5 miles per day as part of daily activities. I'm curious what this will look like a year from now.

Training for Base2Space later this month! Did 70 flights of stairs (about 700 feet, both up and down) in 28 minutes.

Things to love about Seattle:

Reading and coffee in an empty parklet to get some fresh air while recovering from Covid. (Obviously masking while moving around/interacting with people)

I love living in a place where "Hot Rat Summer" inexplicably becomes a trans icon and everyone just vibes with it #Seattle

The Wheel of Time and a pour-over at 203F before work. Appreciating Robert Jordan much more than I did on my first read - I believe I can thank Sanderson and Corey for that. Stormlight and The Expanse primed me well for this.
