I feel the left is just going in a circle. Major mindset shifts need to happen if we actually want to see proper change.
1) Gavin Newsom may be problematic in areas but he is our strongest path currently to taking back the White House. A presidential candidate will never check all your boxes.

Remember Republicans campaigning last year that if they won control back, they would stop doing omnibus bills? That they’d move to solely focusing on issue by issue bills? They’re real quiet now. (To be clear omnibuses are terrible and both sides use them to benefit the wealthy)

Missouri’s ban on ranked choice voting helps both major parties. Especially the supermajority. I’m considering launching a 2026 petition to reverse it. If you’re a volunteer, organizer, lawyer, or just sick of the two-party trap; let’s talk. I definitely can’t do this alone.

Do not let fascists win. What is happening right now IS unconstitutional. These protests are constitutionally protected. The Trump administration purposely ignored Californians telling ICE to gtfo. Now they’re shocked THE PEOPLE are fighting back to be heard.

If tax dollars shouldn’t be spent on things that honor and help an oppressed group who make up 7% of the population, then we sure as hell shouldn’t be giving tax dollars to the 1%. You cannot erase queer people. Neither the wealthy nor the bigots will not win this.

The solution to the tipping crisis isn’t zero taxes on tips. It’s simple: require employers to pay workers a living wage and make it illegal for employers to steal tips. Workers deserve dignity, fair pay, and the tips they earn, not exploitation.

I’m scared for the women in the US. I’m scared for the LGBTQ+ community in the US. I’m scared for the blacks in the US. I’m scared for all those that will be mistaken for undocumented immigrants in the US. People really showed how selfish and hateful they are this election.

It’s speaks volumes about the state of our nation that I was among only 24% of white men who voted for Harris. Too many white men are driven by hate and misogyny, choosing to support a candidate who embodies hate and is also a known rapist.
