But having a Discord wouldn't solve the issue that only needs a temporary solution. Having live-chat implemented in these social platforms would be a good idea. Similar to the temporary thread convos that happen in Discord.

chat-room social media comes in. Fast and efficient text. Though an argument can be made that the correspondence of delayed texts makes it easier to compete with people who otherwise are terminally online. But I still wish we were social enough to say "hey can we talk about this in live-chat?" (4)

I like Bsky and X (I never used Tumblr or Masto for some reason), because they're individualist takes on forums. Profile-centric. But they're addictive and engaging. Old forums didn't suffer from that. A good rule is to post your work and then the convos go from there. But that's usually where (3)

contain a subject matter that motivates the posts. So the issue always comes down to the contents of the OP's post itself. 4Chan, Reddit, and old chan or forum sites. To me, chat-room social media can only work if it has good community. And the pop-internet usually doesn't foster that. (2)
