Yeah. I was fine with it Although one take I was sorta on board with was that the goofy elements were overplayed. I mean - that element is definitely there. But we are talking about the end of the world here. And its hardly smooth sailing for Gosling's character once he's out in space.

Yep. This. Just the finding common ground and working together for the greater good - that was the real wonder of the book for me.
