Been one of those weeks. Went to the office for the first time in over a year. Mid morning a frantic phone call. Come Home, tumble dryer on fire! Fire brigade excellent, there in minutes but house uninhabitable. Me and the cat spent the night in a Travelodge. Found her in the shower when I woke up!

I appear to be in Paris! Insane drive starting at 11pm last night, 3am ferry. Have to do it all in return tonight, but worth it to wish our daughter happy birthday in person. #paris
