One of us! One of us!

There’s a handful of 3D renderers out there, but it seems like an avenue waiting for some further exploration given your current procedural generation system and focus on accuracy of urban design elements.

Your road rendering is pretty neat, ever taken a look at OSM roadway data?

It’s a Unix system! I know this!

Would you swing your dick around in the men’s room in front of teenage boys? That does sound creepy, but it’s not exactly gender dependent. This seems like inappropriate behaviour either way, why imagine solely trans people as sex pests?

Yeah, its one of the most technically impressive monospaced fonts I've seen.

I don’t love GitHub’s new fonts, but their website is really nice monaspace.githubnext.com

www.ibm.com/plex/ another classic

IBM Plex® is our new typeface. It’s global, it’s versatile, and it’s distinctly IBM.

That doesn’t sound lame, that sounds like nice typography for cool events!

It's pretty much exactly what I'd want to give to beginners, but most people also like authoring blog posts in Markdown and it doesn't do that as of yet.

@mixolumia.com Others have mentioned Publii, but in my experience the templating language and need to design both for editing with their GUI and your actual site makes it a non-starter for first-timers that actually want to code things. pageboy.app is pretty great, but not *quite* enough for me??
Pageboy.app
The world's simplest static site generator.

I strongly support this endevour. The need to teach both an intro to CLI and an intro to HTML to get people making websites is too much overhead.

Damn, the mirror display function requires you to select an option from a dialogue after plugging it in??? Seems like an oversight.

Yeah, I only allude to this in the post, but the discrepancy between "we make all our money with Canva" and "we are charging for access to local ML models" is pretty glaring.

I am curious as to what will happen if and when they decide that generative AI subscriptions aren't driving enough revenue.
November 4, 2025 at 2:01 AM
Microsoft and Canva ARE entirely different companies, but I think your feelings speak to a broader decline in consumer trust because of this type of behaviour. By virtue of their size, people see corporations as inherently untrustworthy.

And like hey, fair enough lol.

Also I made the cool ASCII art with @benleonard.bsky.social's Mitos tool that he made for Oxide. I knew that aspect ratio PR I made would come in handy ;)

Check it out too if you like that kinda thing: mitos.shared.oxide.computer
