Here are the two cels side by side. The one on the left is the one found before the Mercari cel on the right. Notice how Doraemon's arm is not on his bell in the first cel. Currently, the cel on the right is selling for 100,000 Yen, or 697 US dollars. jp.mercari.com/item/m405516...

FOLLOW UP TO PREVIOUS POST:
Mercari also has a cel from "Nice Girl On The Roof" (Episode 2A). This cel might look almost exactly the same as another cel from the episode that was found a while back, but Doraemon's arm is placed slightly different, as this is a different frame from that same scene.

NEW 1973 DORAEMON CEL JUST DROPPED
While I was looking up some random 1973 Doraemon stuff, I found a Mercari listing with this new cel. This was sold to someone for ¥29,999 (Or 209 US Dollars) recently. The listing does not say what episode this is from, but Doraemon does look cute in this. =)

Frank Tashlin probably has to be my favorite director. Not only does he have interesting and unique animation stylings (The angled designs especially) and humor, but he also implemented his toon-styled writing from Warner Bros. and Screen Gems to his live action film directing career as well. =)

Just a little test on bigger canvas sizes. This picture was made in 3840x2160px, instead of the usual 1920x1080px canvas size I use usually in my art.

I seem to draw Doraemon better on paper than touch drawing on Procreate...

Here's a little Doraemon 1973 recreation animatic I made using the audio we have of Nendoron Riot, Episode 26A of the series.

This episode also references Japanese stories too, including Urashima Taro, where it's referenced at the end of it when Papa opens up a box, where, in a parodical twist, he turns into a baby. For those wondering, in the original story, Urashima Taro turns into an old man when he opens the box.

Episode 96B of Ganso Tensai Bakabon has to be one of my favorite episodes from this series, as it throws Bakabon's Papa into a bunch of fairy tales and stories, like Little Red Riding Hood and Snow White.

These designs also specifically look like the designs seen in Episode 18B "Crazy Stomach Clock". Here's a comparison between Doraemon's design. The image on the right is from the original episode.

So here's something interesting I found on Yahoo Japan Auctions. It's a sketchbook based off the 1973 Doraemon series. When I first saw the images for this, I was impressed with the cover art for this, because it looks exactly like the designs seen in the show.

I've mentioned before that Kenjiro Tsuda was the first male seiyuu to voice Doraemon since the 1973 series, when Kosei Tomita voiced him for its first 13 episodes. Here is some audio of Tomita's Doraemon, sourced from Episode 12B "The Competition Of Man's Power".
