Ozzie and Randy are together again. There's going to be one heck of a jam tonight on the other side!

A quote from Tricycle's Daily Dharma newsletter that speaks to things I have been dealing with.

I am feeling particularly vitriolic right now about oligarchy, corporate rule, and fascism. This is a reminder to myself that I do not know as much as I think I do. I should not believe everything I think, but be curious.

A mourning dove and a juvenile bunny were foraging among the mulberries on our driveway this morning.

They weren't eating the messy mulberries, mind you. They were finding other tasty things amidst the darn mulberries. 🤷‍♂️

I grew up in the 70's watching Schoolhouse Rock interspersed with the Saturday morning cartoons. I believed the propaganda. It's hard to take that red pill when you grow up.

This bunny is happy I haven't mowed my lawn recently.

It's been a blue pill kind of day. I'd kinda like to go back to living a comfortable illusion.

My wife and I watched Jaws last night. Having also seen Sharknado, I have to say these guys were amateurs. They didn't bring a chainsaw!

I recently read this excellent history of Tulsa's Greenwood District, where the massacre took place. Such a terrible night. No wonder we've tried to whitewash it from history.

"Built from the Fire: The epic story of Tulsa's Greenwood District, America's Black Wall Street" by Victor Luckerson.

Wow, what a story! This lives up to everything I've heard about it.

"This is how you lose the time war" by Amal El-Mohtar and Max Gladstone.

Found among some old papers. "Eschew obfuscation: One cannot fabricate the veracity of said events and occurrences."

Pre-Trumpian fiddle-faddle‼️

One needs only prevaricate loudly and repeatedly. I was so naive back then. 🙄

The cats took turns "helping" my wife pin the backing to the baby quilt she's making for grandbaby 3, due almost any time now.
