Am I crazy for caring that my roommates yank the microwave drawer open instead of using the automated controls? It looks like this (not my photo)

I wonder what percentage of women pass the Bechdel test in their own life, daily

Watched an SUV driver nearly obliterate a pedestrian in the crosswalk across Mass Ave by Haskell st in Cambridge, ped had to jump back (HAWK signals were on, left lane car had come to a complete stop for the ped)....when I caught up to the driver they were right back to texting

Fully aware butyl tubes are less efficient than latex or tpu but, I haven't flatted in the last 15k miles or so, and I'm okay with that tradeoff

Maybe it's anecdotal, but I think the current national discourse about bike lanes is spurring driver aggression - I organize an annual Boston->Portland ride and this is the first year with noticeable driver aggression (honks, yelling, pulling up next to us to lecture). Route hasn't changed.

I think i enjoy biking to work MORE in the rain because I'm reminded how soft the average car driver is

I do wish that all the bots who follow me would at least like my posts. It's the least they could do.

Also, not really sure why I am posting here - don't think any of my friends who left Twitter are here, and I like being "anonymous" online anyway - just a open diary I suppose

Overinflated bike tires buzz a little and "feel" fast, but are (logically) slower than bike tires at a lower, appropriate tire pressure...but sometimes the rider is more concerned with feeling fast than actually being fast

Every time I think, "I need to change things up" I change some small things and that satisfies the urge, for a bit

I own a car that I haven't used in roughly a year and I genuinely don't know what to do with it

I don't want this account to be a complaining account. I'll post some nice things next

Not a bike zealot but when my sister said "maybe if I signaled more I wouldn't have gotten hit by a car", I realized how much car drivers hate the mere existence of people on bikes

A memory that resurfaced recently - I am making a lemony kale ground turkey medley for dinner, my girlfriend at the time is upset because she "doesn't want to eat healthy meals all the time". It causes an argument, I never make the meal again. It's only today that I remember that kale recipe is -

Ever since I shaved my head, a ton of people seem to recognize me. I think there's a significant chunk of people who are essentially faceblind, and just rely on someone's hair to identify them

Anyway that's what's on my mind. Also I want to photoshop "The King's Speech" film card to read "The King's Peach🍑". A very different movie, potentially more entertaining

I hate default save locations. I don't think any application should save a document for you without making you think about where it'll be located
