I would use the road system from fe4 so that speed characters are moving farther than flying ones while still having the 8 move flying units always have.

It'd be interesting because speed is tied to movement and attack speed, so Sonic's thing would be having both while shadow can be slower attack wise but stronger.

for the sonic x fire emblem game I'd make speed characters replace paladins, flying is flying of course, power is infantry, and robots are armored characters.

you can use Titania without having to worry about her dropping off.

Oh and you get lots of money in this game, so once you get the first large lump of cash forge good weapons for people you want to use.

Also at the end, you can draw out the boss's bow with a tanky unit and then fight him at close range. The people on the right can just chill in between the black knight and jill's group until the end since not everyone needs to reach the end.

If you're still having trouble here's my strat. The black knight only appears after getting in range of the boss, so if you have a small group storm the far right path they can get the top right house and zihark. Titania and lethe can handle the middle left path pretty easily.

it might be stats are screwed, you can check on the serenes forest site for that, if you're not using Titania she can take one side herself usually

Three houses is more complex, but more forgiving if you're ok with casual mode. It also has more qol.

Path of Radiance is a better rep of what fire emblem is like though
I like PoR more. Both have great characters and lore, so I don't think you can go wrong either way

A good example is how in path of radiance the knight ward increases your speed growth by 30%... at least on second playthroughs

Oh, also anyone who's a huge fan of 3 houses would probably love fe9 since it gets a lot of inspirations from that and fe4

I'd actually say between fe9, 10, and 4, whichever one I'm playing in the moment is my favorite
