If i were like 5+ and rock/crystal oriented I’d probably like a tumble polished quartz or something. Definitely a bad idea for younger ones especially if its ’fits in mouth’ sized.

If you’re lucky it’s probably just the thermal fuse which is cheaper/easier to replace than a whole heating element. I’d check that first.

I’m sure there’s better examples but Kenneth Follett kinda cooked with this in Pillars of the Earth.

They are edible, so if I ever get one I eat it. Tastes sorta sweet, kinda peanutty imo. It is too nice of a thing to waste for garnish though.
