I feel you haven't caught the indifference of one though.

You haven't been ignored until you been ignored with purpose and forethought.

In NZ you can apply "fusion cooking" to a scone but NOT a cheese roll

That's a beloved South Island staple

Take sliced white bread, remove the crusts. Make a sauce using onion soup powder as a flavoring agent and cheese. Spread on the bread, roll it up. Bake it til golden. Enjoy in a blizzard

You will notice only only scone on the plate...

In New Zealand, we women of a certain age pride ourselves on our scone making, (biscuits to Americans).

Recently I feel my international reputation as a scone maker has been impugned.

So rather fight fire with fire, here is evidence.

Cheese scones....with plum jam.

I think this is misinformation, at least on the part of NZ

This screenshot taken from the nz govt website

You can see even the UK has an increased awareness flag.

Go to this page and see for yourself what it says

We went fishing this evening. I caught 3 big fat fish. Andy caught one.

The boat was rocking around a bit as I took the picture, and the sunset was more vivid cos I have a crappy phone!

Anyhow, kia kaha (stay strong) 🐟

Not really Birdie. NZ govt has this in their website
There are plenty of other countries having warnings, like Belgium and the UK

You can see what it says here www.safetravel.govt.nz/destinations...

New Zealander here. It's not quite so dramatic

The US is listed as use caution on the Govt website, citing firearm crime, terrorism and domestic unrest as reasons. So is the UK and Belgium ( but not for firearm crime)

There is a warning about "strict" visa requirements though
