More Trillium FAQS:

3) It can take a trillium up to 10 years to produce a flower. Seeds take at least 2 years to germinate, 7 or so years to reach flowering size.

4) If you pick a trillium bloom, the plant might not survive. Damaging a plant might not allow it time to store nutrients.

1) The common name for Trillium is birthroot or birthwort, since the roots of several of the species contain chemical compounds that are useful in childbirth.
