Uh oh. Spotted a tear in the tent. The windstorms lately have wreaked havoc in the Sanctuary! Some orange duct tape will hopefully hold things together for a hot minute while I try to remember where the canvas repair kit is.

Testing the wood stove in the bell tent today. It's definitely HOT. Should have no trouble keeping someone warm on a cold night. But.... it's also leaking smoke into the tent so I've gotta troubleshoot that

West of Sweetwater, TN, traveling along I-75 between mile markers 50 and 80.

Light rain just started falling here. Tornado warning moving our way but not on top of us yet.

45 minutes to sunset here in Knoxville. Feels calm on the ground, but up above the clouds are moving quickly. The robins and cardinals are the only birds still chirping up a storm.

Tornado watch in effect for many Tennessee counties.

Our old man Mamba isn't afraid of storms, fortunately. How about you? Any pets who need special care during tough weather?

I wonder how the bird chatter changes with an impending storm? We're 2+ hours out from the storm, and it's all the usual noisemakers right now. I'll try to get another capture when I notice the skies or the wind starts to change in a bit.
