Apparently, they are only supposed to be around for three years:

Maybe we see that in the next iteration of the City Connects.

What would you prefer? I think the currrent unis are much better than the bland John Moores era blue and white.

The fact that Heyman is saying that the Xander Bogaerts deal is "not so bad" already should give you hope 🤣

I think I agree with you. EVERYONE was frustrated and those one-run games KILLED our spirit. When it became clear they weren't getting along, it became a dumpster fire. Our expectations were incredibly high and we were all disappointed at nearly every turn.

As a Padres fan, I understand your consternation...but there is nuance here. The '22 season was tough, then '23 came and said "hold my beer". They were horrible in close games and there were times where it "felt" that Soto would prefer a walk to an RBI. It was simply frustrating all around.

I'm not trying to hate on the Yankees, Mets or Dodgers. They are exploiting their markets effectively and operating within the rules...but it just doesn't feel like this is the way a sporting league should be run. If you're starting a new league, would you operate this way? 6/6

It just doesn't feel fair, ya know? I knew The Padres weren't signing Soto, so this isn't a case of sour grapes. Just looking at the state of the game and it doesn't feel fair when a man with more money than God decides to have a pet project that doesn't make any money. 5/6

I don't know, but when the Yankees are crying because they can't get the $765 million dollar player, where does that leave the other orgs? Kansas City? Milwaukee? Minnesota? Tampa Bay? 4/6

The absolute BEST part of the NFL is the parity in salary structures and revenue sharing. They all play by the same rule book. Having a lot more money than the next guy is useful but not required to win. 3/6

The Padres, specifically, leveraged long-term deals well past the player's prime as a sort of long-term tax. We know Machado ain't going to be "Manny effing Machado" into his 40s. Xander Bogaerts injured/underperforming doesn't help. How else to compete though? 2/6

All you need is a custom domain name, you don't have to attach anything to your employer (though that is an option). Happy to help set this up if you need it.

MLB must have better ideas than this...right? Yikes.
