It’s rich in calcium which encourages clay particles to clump into little “crumbs” — a process called flocculation (not flatulation 😅).

pH-wise, it’s on the alkaline side — perfect for brassicas and alliums but skip using it near potatoes

What a whirlwind (I mean that literally as well as figuratively because it is so damn windy on the plot)

And yes I did say I grew carrot 🥕 however I think you’ll find multiple carrots, were grown here…

I’d just like to caveat this video with saying these were really densely sown together (out of laziness above anything else)

They would be fatter and juicier if they had more room probably but the small ones will be just as tasty 🤗

Garlic, like onions, are super easy to plant, care for and bring a myriad of benefits for the soil and the crops around it (except beans and peas, they’re not too pal-y)

The soft neck variety I planted was ‘Lomagne’ which I bought from a fancy market a month ago.
