I guess there is truth in what he and you are saying because the super rich or moderatly rich are insulated from the problem because they can throw money at it. Its inequality. I just hate flying because of its outsized impact on the climate.

But isn't flying itself a massive privilege. I thought the topic was making things better for people who can't afford the cost of living. I'm not from the States and I don't fly, never heard of TSA Pass

Are poor people really Flying? I'm not sure it's the best analogy?

It falls into high emissions low societal benefits category, so we wouldn't be pursuing it in a rational world.

It's so hard to opt out. Google is driving me crazy lately. I forced it to stop uploading my pictures to the cloud now its broken and I can't use forms etc. It's really disturbing these companies should be broken up.

The whole point is that you make it harder for for certain demographics to vote. It's not incompetence, it's unfair by design.

Wait doesn't AI just steal all our ideas and recycle them anyway.

Thank you. I like your Swiss cheese analogy, it seems to me that overshoot geoengineering plans are like lining up the hole that we can fly safely through on a wing and a prayer if every hair brained policy somehow works. Rather than the hole being the risk.

Support is often supplied by area, not by quantity or quality of food produced, meaning that farmers who are producing lots of food on a small plot get little or no support. Like our local organic veg farmer.

Does she really believe that, are there so many barriers in her mind? 'Those who build walls are their own prisoners'

That made me smile. Wonderful little musician and 4 legged friends.

Same goes for Galway ring road, fast forward 10 years, the whole thing is so short termist. 'Get some proper planners in from the Netherlands' heard that on radio last week.

I guess the graph, implies land use change, like drainage of bogs or cutting down trees, is primarily for animal agriculture or for crops for animal agriculture. As methane and nitrous oxide are animal agriculture wastes

According to GNI, we are moving towards fully renewable gas problem solved we won't need to import fracked gas from the US.

The moderates are in fact the extremists as there are no non radical futures, and clinging to the status quo, is a dead end
November 26, 2025 at 9:44 AM
Hi James, thanks for all you are doing. I've been looking at the chart for 5 minutes. Are you saying we are on track for scenario 8.5, the worst pathway in IPCC reports? Also what are HGs in the graph?
November 23, 2025 at 8:04 AM
It's a disgrace and absolute failure of vision of Galwaycoco. They want a bypass, even though they don't ever reduce congestion in the long run. And they are holding active and public transport schemes hostage until they get what they want the quick fix for the status quo.

There are some local government reps. Governor of LA etc. Not that I've been following it much I have very little hope in the COP these days, the most hopeful thing about it is indigenous people protesting and obstructing there
