Is it just me, or do these Alice sundews look like little forbidden gummy candies? 😂

The plants may be thriving, but the humans are melting and the greenhouse feels like a sauna with slightly better air circulation. This is your reminder to water yourself as often as your carnivores — and no, sweet tea doesn’t count 😉🔥

This daisy’s a little weathered, a little bug-bitten, but still absolutely beautiful. Zoom in on that Fibonacci spiral — nature’s geometry never misses!

Happy Sunday, friends! I wanted to share a pic of some beautiful bouquets we made with some of the flowers growing around the farm. I absolutely love them and can't wait to make more!

Longest day of the year, and the garden knows it.
Everything’s reaching, blooming, buzzing—full tilt into summer.

Happy solstice from Wild Growth. May your plants be thriving and your weeds easy to pull.

Zinnias are one of our favorite summer bloomers—heat tolerant, low-maintenance, and great for pollinators. They thrive in full sun, bloom nonstop until frost, and make excellent cut flowers.
Bonus: The more you cut them, the more they bloom!

The dahlias are in bloom at Wild Growth Farm and each one is showing off in its own way.
From crimson to burgundy to soft buttery yellow they bring a range of color that makes this time of year feel a little more magical

Carnivorous plants don’t get big enough to eat people, but it is fun to think about. My latest for @smithsonianmag.bsky.social. 🌱
Carnivorous Plants Have Been Trapping Animals for Millions of Years. So Why Have They Never Grown Larger?
