Look up the Polynesian Triangle. Hawaiʻi is part of it. Hawaiians are Polynesians. We are Hawaiian. We are Kānaka Maoli. We are Polynesian. You don't have to believe it. Kānaka Maoli people will know and that's all that matters in the end.

Doesn't matter what her mom does. It doesn't erase the fact that she is a fellow Kānaka Maoli. There is no evidence against it. There are places online with her and her sister saying they are Hawaiian. There are places saying they are Polynesian.

You can't see it and that's fine because you are not Kānaka Maoli. Like will recognize like, and others of Kānaka Maoli ancestry will know and accept her to be one of the people because she is.

Being Native Hawaiian and growing up around other people of mixed race you know what to look for to recognize your people. Sydney is Native Hawaiian. You don't have to believe it if you don't want to but whatever you say will never erase the Kānaka Maoli blood that so clearly runs through her veins.

People can have a last name from one ethnicity and still have blood from another. There have been older pictures posted that have her dad in it and that man is so clearly Kānaka Maoli (Native Hawaiian) even if it is mixed with Filipino.

I can tell just by looking at her face that she is Hawaiian. She is of my people. Just because she has a Filipino last name doesn't mean she's not Hawaiian. My mom has a Hawaiian last name (before she married my dad). Does that mean that she is also not Sicilian from my grandma's side? No.

She says she is Polynesian separately from being Filipino because they are separate. There are also other souces online that I've found that state she is Hawaiian. Her younger sister has also said the same thing.

Our land was stolen by the US government when they wrongfully imprisoned our Queen and threatened her life and her people forcing her to abicate the throne. It sucks but being born in Hawaiʻi makes us US Americans unfortunately.

Filipino isn't part of the Polynesian triangle. The Phillipines are part of Asia. That's why Filipinos identify as Asian. Hawaiians are Polynesian. Hawaiian is no longer considered a nationality, as much as my people wish it to be.

The actress for Nani is Hawaiian. Hawaiʻi is part of the Polynesian triangle. A lot of people will say Polynesian to be inclusive (myself included) but Sydney is Hawaiian. I don't know why you're trying to tear this movie and actress down, but it's not right to spread false information.

Plus I'm trying to have less screen time, but I do miss participating in fandom. Maybe I'll jump back in when the last season of Stranger Things comes out. We'll see.

It's just I have so much stuff going on offline that I don't come online as often as I used to. Not like bad things or stressful things, mind you, but every day things. Work, my partner, friends, physical offline hobbies I'm doing more of.
