I hosted my first watch along last weekend. It was Rhys Darby: Big In Japan. I had a good time and hopefully introduced some people to Rhys' adventures and even though I was anxious I enjoyed it. Also. Here is my cat sleeping on my lap.

After watching a few videos, I was ready to eat my pawpaw. It. Is. DELICIOUS! The skin and seeds aren't edible, so cut it and twist like an avocado. The flesh is VERY soft, like a ripe peach. Descriptions mentioned tropical flavours, but I mostly got cantaloupe and banana. 8/10, would eat again.

Ugh, I had a Day today, too. It was my first "shit falls apart" day at the new job, and since I'm still pretty new, there wasn't anything I could do to fix/help. Please have some Rhysies in this time of trouble.

So one of my few fandom regrets is that I got into it too late (October 2022) to get the Old Navy oranges shirt. BUT I saw this out of the corner of my eye at WalMart (don't judge) the other week and finally bought it. I think it's pretty close. As close as I'll get.

I found both these stickers at a con I went to, completely at random. They are SOOOO DJ coded, but that was a complete coincidence, since the vendor had never heard of #OFMD. I proselytized good and hard. Pretty sure I converted him.

Sorry I haven't updated sooner. I was pretty tired when I got home and needed a rest. The protest was very peaceful, and honestly kind of fun. Good turn out, couple hundred people. Said hi to a lot of people, pet a lot of dogs. Got a lot of compliments on my sign and even some pictures and videos.

I spent so long making this. I counted, did math, broke out the tape measure. I know it's not perfect, but still really proud of it. Protest starts in a couple hours downtown. Nervous but determined.
