I had the same problem and struggled in school because the only thing I was good at was art .I'm now in my late 50's and have started selling my art which to me is awesome as I suffer with imposter syndrome.

I am overun with art matetials but I simply can't resist popping in everytime I pass an art supply shop .

Its the same here where I live in England we are east of Manchester surrounded by hills and countryside and it rains an awful lot. I have to clean moss of the garden wall at least once a month I even get moss growing on the rubber gasket round the windows of my car even though I wash it regularly.

Most of the time being called weird usually translates as "Why dont you conform like the rest of us sheep?". Ive been called weird many times due to my love of mid century fashions and music.
