I am a complete Stranger Things freak, binged the new episodes in one night, obsessing over fan theories…BUT! Andor is hands-down my favorite show of the year, perhaps of all time. Just a brilliant achievement on so many levels.

Like a superhero movie, where part of the experience is reacting along with others. But smaller, character-driven films? My TV is just fine and unless it’s a mystery I don’t want spoiled, I’m willing to wait until it’s streaming. Even if I have to rent it. Still cheaper than tix plus popcorn 2/2

My pedestrian take is that a lot of people have pretty big, high def TV screens in their homes so the appeal of the “big screen” cinema experience has lessened. I’ll still make a trip to the movie theater to see a big blockbuster, especially if it’s something I know I’ll enjoy with a crowd. 1/2
