One thing I will say aside from AI bad (which it is): that graph on the left is so difficult to read, why are labels questions? They should be short categories, it's confusing ^^"

The worst part is that people making these models actually have no clue about how they operate internally and why. Meaning that the thing can get biggoted BY ACCIDENT. Just because it was fed data skewed in a certain direction... which is hard to avoid when they get that data by scraping internet.

I'd posit that they are unreliable and untrustworthy in general. These systems aren't intelligent, they just guess. Their owners might skew their guesses into one or the other side politically by cherrypicking training datasets, but either way, they are not reliable, ever.

That is literally how I use Twitter, too, and have been for years. I barely noticed the takeover because I've always had it perma-set to Followed and kept following new artists based on things artists I was already following retweeted. My Twitter is nothing but great art and so is Bluesky. Its great

Oh my god, they are all beautiful but that last one made me cry out because of how awesome it is <3

And yet teachers were out there trying to convince us that Wikipedia, with its rigorous vetting and citations, is not a trustworthy source.

I'm right there with you at 26.

I don't understand how are AI summaries helpful when you can NEVER trust it without checking the accuracy yourself... which only means you just have added more reading for yourself to do.

This is why every time I see a song I like on YouTube, I pull it right down from the website. And I WAS RIGHT to do so, cause at least one of them is gone now but I get to keep it!!

At least for me it unfortunately still shows the AI images in search though makes it easier to scan past them by visibly removing the links to the images

I don't think that's me but I can also tell you that through various art raffles and such I already have followed a crazy amount of artist accounts on here that I have never seen before on Twitter.

If I were an artist, the thought of trying to coax people into commissioning me by sending them DMs would feel absurd.

As a non-artist? Yeah, still absurd.

I looove PortfolioDay, I've found so many awesome accounts through it! Was really helpful when looking for someone to comission, too.

Yeah, obviously. I'm not gonna abandon Twitter altogether either, especially since I haven't found everyone on here but still, so far this platform seems very nice.

Just moved and trying to track down all the artists I followed on Twitter, it's kinda surprising how many moved already.
