October’s been such a fun month — I took a little break to enjoy the fall! 🍂 I also shared some thoughts on designing the Aether cami, plans for upcoming video tutorials and a new pattern, plus a peek at the Halloween costumes I made for my kiddos 🎃

Hey friends! The Aether top & dress pattern is finally here ✨ With its gently unexpected asymmetric hemline, the top is a quick sew, while the dress brings in an adjustable tie wrap plus a sneaky side pocket 👀.

🎉 The Crescent skirt is now easier to make for projector sewists! Try our new custom pattern generator (beta): enter your measurements and get a projector-ready PDF, saving tons of time otherwise spent measuring and marking notches manually.

#patterntesting is THE most stressful stage of my entire pattern creating lifecycle -- my body even responds with a low-grade fever every time 😅. Being online for questions, feedback, and that anxiety burn of how it’s received… Still trying to talk myself out of it, but maybe there’s no magic cure.

Whipped up a quick #sewingtip video on reducing french seam bulk when #sewing a double turned hem! It's a real issue but I can't find anyone talking about it. Maybe everyone else just use super light fabric for french seams like the textbook says 😆

The Crescent is ready for testing! A modern interpretation of the historical Hanfu/Mamianqun, this #sewing pattern is custom-fit and draft-your-own, so be ready for some adventures! Testing is not paid (yet), but you'll get our Swan bag pattern as a thank-you. To sign up: forms.gle/Mh2aQtePH1K1...

Been #sewing a youth-sized wearable toile for the crescent skirt! A few more details are in the tweak, but this is exactly what my model wanted—"like a science experiment!"

Hey #sewsky! Just built a #sewing unit converter 🧵 Good for #DIY and #crafting too!

Built-in error margins, clean UI, and no more math headaches!

Try it 👉 wildcress.com/unit-converter

Also thinking of making a browser extension that auto-converts measurements on webpages. Would that be helpful?

Working on a waist-anchored pocket for the upcoming Crescent Skirt. French seaming is extra work, but don't we all deserve a nice pocket or two. Pattern and tutorial in my blog: wildcress.com/blog/tutoria...

My first post since finding this little niche #sewing and crafting community at Bluesky #sewsky!

I can't decide whether I like illustrations or photos better, after trying them both in my patterns. My personal preference is "good illustrations > photos > bad illustrations". What's your opinion?
