"Olivia" is inspired by
the woodlands of the Eastern United States, Olivia's garden is lush, cozy, and peaceful.
Birds are often chirping, chipmunks scurrying, and moths can be found at night, hovering about. Follow the path near the Sassafras tree, and you just might find some strange secrets...

My art will be on display at Ijams Nature Center in Knoxville, Tennessee, USA, in December. Most of these artworks will feature botanical paintings I’ve created depicting our native flora and fauna. I really hope you all get a chance to visit the exhibition. 😊

A sweet little Carolina Wren + my Sassafras painting. What’s not to love?

P.S.: I think the wren is snacking on a cocoon or chrysalis…maybe…

Recently:

1) American Beautyberry being a beauty
2) A new book I finished and I loved it! It’s a cozy spooky mystery involving a gardening plot!
3) Caterpillar lurking near the threshold
4) a mantis. I think it’s the Carolina one.🤞🏼 I hope so. It’s on Ptelea trifoliata in the back garden

Thank you to everyone that showed up to the Smart Yards Festival on Saturday! I’m so glad I got to meet some of you in person. It was a great success and a fun day. We also got lucky and only got a few sprinkles and a few cracks of thunder. Nothing major! Then the weather cleared up.🥰

I designed some owl shirts. They are inspired by the owl that showed up near my garden recently. It’s spooky season, I love owls, and I want to create merch inspired by these things. So I did. If you don’t know, I have a YouTube channel where I talk about wildlife gardening. Merch helps support it.
