A quick trip to Emsworthy Mire this afternoon, 6 Ring Ouzel and 1 Fieldfare, it's quite unbelievable how fast they are stripping the berries off the tree's.

A quiet Blaxton Meadow on high tide - 146 BH Gulls, 1 cormorant on plym, 28 Curlew, 1 Dunlin, 20 Little Egret, 21 Oystercatcher, 65 Redshank, 1 Spotted Redshank, 3 Shelduck.

Soar - Pied Flycatcher in willows, Flocks of Meadow Pipits and Sika Stag on airfield.
Starehole - Hobby, Sparrowhawks, Kestrels, Buzzard, Common Redstart, Green Woodpecker, Blackcap.

South Huish - 70 Canadian Geese, Bar Godwit, 5 Snipe, Buzzard, 24 BH Gulls, 56 Teal, 1 Med gull, 5 Wigeon.

Blaxton Meadow this morning at high tide - 1 Spotted Redshank, 60+ Redshank, 1 Dunlin, 3 Turnstone, 5 Greenshank, Little Egret, Oyster Catchers, Curlew, BH Gulls, Herring Gulls, Shelducks and a flying squad of 71 Canada Geese came in.

An hour at Blaxton Meadow this afternoon after work, juv Arctic Tern dropped in and was hastily sent on its way by the crows, and a juv Knot.

After dipping them 8 times, I finally caught up with my arch nemesis bird.. the Pectoral Sandpiper in with a Curlew Sandpiper and Ringed Plovers at Davidstow Airfield, the same spot as it started the chase a year ago. No signs of the Buff-breasted Sandpipers at Colliford Res

5 Marsh Harriers over the reed beds, 2 Glossy Ibis, Spotted Redshank, 3 Crane,5 Snipe, Pochard, Sparrowhawk, GWE, and Bittern booming all around, unfortunately they didn't show for us this time around.

An afternoon spent at Exminster Marshes, highlights were this female Peregrine stood on her hunt, and the distant Scaup with a pochard off the viewing platform, lots of birds in flight including big groups of Lapwing, Golden Plover and Brent Geese.

Happy the waiting around in a layby paid off today in Crowlas with the Booted Eagle finally returning to roost at the end of the day, Sparrowhawk, and plenty of Buzzards to be seen, along with Med Gulls and a Great White Egret heading towards St Michael's Mount.

A walk around Millbrook this morning - female kingfisher, 10+ redshank, 10+ teal, 4 little grebes, grey heron, little egret, cormorants, moorhen.
A quick walk at Portwrinkle whilst visiting the in-laws resulted in 7 oyster catcher and a single great northern diver hunting.

Managed to finally get out and do a bit of birding this afternoon for an hour so headed to Bowling Green to see the male Scaup, a Water Rail , plenty of Wigeon, Teal, Shoveler, Pintails, Tufted, Lapwing, Canadian and a single Greylag Goose.
