When you have BSD as your development platform, then it's (for example) Linux that things need to be made compatible with. So I don't see the argument "things need to be made compatible with it" as fully valid. #FreeBSD #ThePowerToServe

and quite useful is `prime-list` or `prime-origins` that lists non-automatically installed (i.e. non-dependencies) packages.

Did you know that freebsd-update already makes snapshots of boot environments? I usually dare to do the upgrade with only like, 2 or 3 reboots (1. kernel, 2. userland + packages and 3rd only when needed). I also recommend to install sysutils/lsop to see what needs to be restarted.

Option 43 should contain IP address of unifi controller, ISTR.

I'd suggest to go with "unifi" hostname in DHCP-provided DNS domain name.
