no you don't understand it's an offensive sig so it fires a whole 223 cartridge without the slide moving

Machado doesn't get reported on accurately unfortunately, for most of her career she was known as so far-right it was too much for her party. I think of her kind of like Rubio vs. Trump, pretty much aligned politically but flies under the radar since she can appear normal in public lol

resigning in protest can also be a sign of affection but you have to look at the position of the ears and other body language to know

but "gullible," "easily duped" etc. doesn't quite capture it. the @bishonentype.bsky.social enjoyer in me wants to say some sort of reality tunnel where being duped sufficiently often leads to an entire outlook based completely on faith that this is the future of everything?

i don't wanna get caught up in terminology but i've been thinking about how to talk about this. the `psychosis` part feels important to preserve bc it's wild that AI is creating actual mental health crises
January 13, 2026 at 6:04 PM
they can be doing both. look at hitler, he acted in his interests as he perceived them, started doing a bunch of meth and got very paranoid. he wasn't evil because of drug use or mental illness, but those things changed the character of his regime

people experiencing a mental health crisis have attacked me and i made assumptions that informed my deescalation since one harm was imminent. if very powerful people are likely abusing drugs and making irrational decisions we can name that in a true emergency. (fyi i have my own mental health saga)

gonna stop engaging, you seem like an angry person and this is going nowhere

and yes, haven't used bsky much. pretty well versed in interacting with humans though, which ends up pretty similar across platforms.

the other commenter made an analogy to Iraq, i added to it. there won't be another failson empire unless we fail to end the cycle (possibly because we spent too much time aimlessly attacking people online who we could've built solidarity with)
January 11, 2026 at 8:25 AM
chill, it's not that deep, you could've just asked for clarification. empire (britain) colonized land in north america and birthed its failson (the US) in the process. US genocided indigenous population, became the hegemonic power and is repeating the cycle (as it has many times over)
January 11, 2026 at 8:20 AM
ok? are you trying to make a point?
January 11, 2026 at 7:51 AM
what point are you trying to make? also check out how the term "indigenous" is used in practice in academic/political discourse in the modern day, it's similar to racism in that it's evolved to a more useful word that acknowledges power dynamics

for sale: window (window not included)
January 11, 2026 at 7:29 AM
hell yeah! genuinely appreciate you having an open mind, it's a time for ambition and solidarity and that starts with looking at our circumstances with fresh eyes
January 11, 2026 at 7:24 AM
honestly given that it's a predominantly indigenous population it's a lot like the mentality around what's now the US with the empire being the failson of the previous empire

ICE is younger than most college grads. abolishing ICE is the moderate position. a conservative columnist for the times or atlantic wrote in favor of abolishing ICE last year. half measures have lost us elections and will doom us. you're also extremely behind on polling

In my experience, most of the people who recognized that the justifications were lies also understood that it would come back home eventually (and that, in many cases, it already had). Too many people just bought those lies as well.
