I voted for the candidate I thought had the best chance of doing the right thing and actually had a chance of being elected. That wasn't Jill Stein, it wasn't Chase Oliver, and it sure as shit wasn't Donald Trump. Things aren't better and we don't know where they could've gone. Its all academic now.

I voted for what I perceived as the more resonable candidate on the whole. My hope was that Harris would be harder on Israel because I knew Trump wouldn't. Guess we'll never know.

I guess the country is paying for it trying to play world police and helping the wrong side out of some misguided eternal allegience to Israel vs to humane behavior to innocents.

What was the solution then? With what we were given, that would have resulted in a better outcome? Right now we have the worst one. If you're going to sit on your high horses, you need to hazard a solution because just saying you're better because you didn't vote isn't a solution and it didn't help.

Oh well. Neither of us are changing the other's mind. I'm glad the discussion was civil, I hope someone, even if its NATO or some other country smack Israel down, and those poor innocents in gaza from both peoples get some peace and relief.

I don't have the perfect solution because there wasn't one. Even if Trump was hardline with Israel, but still fucked us here and other places, would that be good enough?

Well, I guess everyone got what they wanted then. People in the US that didn't vote get to sit safely in their homes marinating in their sanctimonious self-satisfaction while Palestine, Ukraine, and a ton of otjer places are still up shit creek. I'm glad good times were had by all.

I agree. He should have. Sadly, we'll never know what Harris eould've done since its not a forgone conclusion she would've towed the line. I agree though.

Okay. Its done. I voted for Harris. I'm sorry my not close personal friend didn't win and we'll never know what she would've done if elected. I can't take it back and I'll answer for my sin when the time comes, but its done and we're where we are.

It wasn't an ideal election, but I'm not gonna sit here and pretend that because Harris wasn't doing the right thing on one thing, that she was magically just as bad as Trump. Now we're stuck with Trump and not only is not better, its worse.

Listen, I had a choice. It wasn't a good choice or a fun choice. It wasn't person who stop the killing in Palestine vs someone wouldn't. It was someone, very wrongly hasn't tried to stop the very wrong things in Palestine vs some who will actively help kill it AND ruin everything other thing as well

My mistake. Even then, Trump will only make it worse...pretty much everywhere so, how is this better? In this case, it was the lesser of two evils. I am also 100% with Palestine on this so, I'm with you it needs to stop and should've never been allowed to happen.

Whatever you say. Last I checked, this was Israel's fault and Netanyahu said Biden tried to talk him down. They should have taken a harder stance to make it stop, but Israel is the bad guy here.

People need to stop making the perfect the enemy of the good. Are folks honestly expecting me to believe they thought Trump was going to not do horrifically worse or that somehow not voting was going to help? People need to work with what they have, not with their ideal. Harris was the better shot.
