Would agree, and seems too. I can monitor the charging status while I drive, almost like it was an EV though it has no electric motors. I have to wonder if some of this was testing EV features in the M class models.

Yea, I like the EV offering. A couple of years ago when I was buying my M550 they were just starting to ship them really. They are super comfortable inside though and certainly look great.
