I'm not sure how this is a surprise to anyone any more.

The more they accuse, the more they admit.

What probably started as an easy way to fear monger their base into voting for them to stop all the "criminals" they soon realized was a great way to distract from them being the criminals.

Gary Johnson was right when he ran for President:
If you fear what one man can do with the presidency, then you've given the position too much power.

The President was to be a cross between a figurehead and prime minister, with more power than one, less of the other, and most power with Congress

This isn't capitalism.

This is crony capitalism pretending to be capitalism in a free market, which we also don't have, while telling us we do have it as it buys government favors and gets "too big to fail" bail outs.

Like Jay Leno said on Top Gear, alternative fuel cars (like EV) will save the petrol car. If we don't change, we'll use up the easy access oil. And petrol cars will basically be dead.

But if we switch, there will be plenty of gas for decades, and we can take our old cars our for weekend drives.

We're in the alcohol industry and just finished laying off about 10% of our workforce because we lost all sales to Canada and tariffs have cut our profits

While last year we projected continued growth for at least 5 years and record breaking revenue like the last decade had brought.

Use DuckDuckGo instead of Google. I haven't used Google in a couple of years now. Even at work.

Because those who say "Don't tread on me!" love to lick boots the most.

They want the freedom to do whatever they want, and they want you to have the freedom to do whatever they want. And if you do something they don't like, they should be able to stop it in the name of freedom...somehow.

If we assume Piers actually cared about journalism and not cashing checks.

Unfortunately the GOP will claim this as a success for showing why you don't need government and taxes for charity work.

Not realizing you have to do the exact opposite of what they did and replace the program BEFORE eliminating it and screwing over millions of lives in the process.

Because the article mentions "X, formally known as Twitter" I'd like to remind everyone they should be calling it Twitter, currently known as X.

Firstly, because everyone still calls it twitter and tweets.

Secondly, because it will PISS OFF Musk to no end.

Switched over to duckduck a couple of years ago. I don't even use it at work anymore.

Also switched from Windows to Linux Mint instead of going to Win11 because I finally got tired of paying to use my computer and not having control over what's on my computer and what it's doing.

I wish I had saved the political cartoon where the preacher said something like "And Jesus said sell all you own and give to the poor."

And the congregation looks confused.

Then the preacher says "Now let's discuss why he didn't really mean that." and they all sigh in relief.

Nope. There's been 11 launches for a total of about $1.1 billion

A single SLS launch costs $2.5b, with two more scheduled.

The total budget to get Starship complete is the same as a single SLS launch, at which point it will provide cheap launches. SLS is canceled after flight 3 for a total $7.5b

Those saying no one needs safe spaces create their own safe spaces.

Those calling others snowflakes take any criticism as a personal attack.

Those who hate "cancel culture" cancel everything they don't like.

I think we know who the real problem is...
November 22, 2025 at 1:59 AM
Nah. I don't like Elon, but I do like SpaceX

The Falcon brought in the next get of space exploration, slashing launch prices

All the costs of Starship so far is still a fraction of what NASA spent on a single Orion launch (which was mandated in law by Congress to be built despite the costs)
