This is my maternal grandfather, William Vernon Barry photographed by well known photographer of native Americans, David F. Barry. He was my grandfathers uncle. I think it’s kinda cool!

I’m finally getting the nerve up to post my artwork on line and offer it for sale. And guess what? This one sold 30 min after I posted it!

I decided that you don’t need to be matchy matchy and that loose beads and random charms deserve some recognition too. So I’m making “Mix Matched” earrings!

This is Sebastian and Dinah, both rescues, as all of our dogs the past 38 years have been. Adopt, don’t shop cuz then you get to have fabulous pups like these and save a life!

As a boomer Little Kiddles were my “Micro Machines.” I sure wish I still had all of mine, but then again there is eBay!

I really like using the different (free) art display apps to see what my work would look like displayed in someone’s home. It’s great to sell my paintings but I often wish I’d kept this one. At least I get the look at it this way!

When we took the bar out of the wine tasting room I freed this old church door I painted with gospel singers (it was the bar top and under glass). Great to see it standing in all its 8’8” glory again. Think I’ll put a ridiculous price on it so no one will buy it!

30 years of painting and I can say “I did that” about these 4. The rest, I’d still like to fix!

I’m just so proud of all the work I did to transition my business to just art. Hosted 2 painting groups yesterday, the first of the new year. Lots of little finishing up jobs to do but here’s to a creative year!

Made a big change in my business model. After 10 years of running a wine tasting room & art gallery, I’ve gotten out of the wine business, my heart just wasn’t in it. Tore out the bars, opened up the space, it’s all about art! A community space for creating, displaying & more! ❤️

Being snowed in for a couple of days resulted in my first attempt at making gluten free scones. Considering I hate to cook, they’re pretty good. Ok I’m ready to get out of this house now!

One of my 5 Christmas bird paintings I did this year. 😊

The last 2 of 5. I’m proud of them even tho I didn’t get to enter the decorating contest!

Another of my Christmas birds. The”Old Fashioned Christmas” committee, now run by downtown business assoc, didnt deem it necessary to give non member businesses info about decorating contest, deadlines, or festival of trees. For us “outliers” (off the sacred Square) it’s typical treatment.

I’m going to do just that when I take a little break from work - pick up the biography of John Singer Sargent again - instead of doom scrolling. Thx for the reminder - keep them coming!

I don’t have much to say that’s relevant but I did paint a Christmas crow - it actually complies with the “rules of Christmas decorating” of businesses in the historic district in this town - altho I don’t think this is what they had in mind when they made the rules.

Super cheesy cardinal I painted for the super cheeseball Xmas decorating mania that overcomes our super cheesiness tourist town every year. It will be hanging on the covered porch of my gallery with a few others. I’d rather have painted retro kitty cats with Santa hats & martinis but noooooooo.
