So original crab is all patched up, sealed, and has his first coat of primer on to prep for painting.

Decided to try something different and used a mesh you're supposed to put in your gutters as a base for another crab, and then sealed it when it was partially dry. I think it worked!

Lol, so, what did we learn?

Apparently Terra Cotta shrinks quite a bit when it is drying.

Hopefully some silicone sealant will help this lil humpty Dumpty out.

First time messing with Terra Cotta clay and had a lot of fun putting this crab together. I used some leftover foam board as the base. Hopefully, this guy will end up as an obstacle in a mini pinball table I'm putting together.

p.s.: terra cotta clay smells so gooood
