I made a super weird puzzle game like 20 years ago & over the weekend I felt inspired to remake it for some reason.

It takes a steady hand and a lot of weird finesse & planning.

It’s not quite done but close now. I’ll have a page for it in a few days.

Got the time of day clock in my weird single shot musket horror game, fine tuning day segment lengths now.

Also been working on boss fights, the underground sections, and tracking & catching cryptids.

Also some music now too!

Took too many shifts after finals (I took ALL the shifts) and got burnt out a little but I’m back on my stuff!

Got time of day events working in my untitled-ish single-shot musket horror game. I added enemy tracks and bear traps too for you to scare them into.

Hey gang I’ve been crazy busy teaching & tutoring during finals but I’m working on my Communion game again!

Been working on the Time of Day & event systems

Also got bear traps in for you to chase enemies into, the idea is enemies easily avoid the traps unless you stress them out

I’m changing the working title of my horror game to The Holy Body

The previous title came off a bit more blasphemous than I intended as this game is more of an exploration into things I find interesting about the abrahamic faiths rather than my usual scathing critique of the church

I wanted a text system that can handle multiple groups having modular conversations on screen at once in “The Holy Body”

Cause actual conversations are messy

And the game is meant for multiple plays so there’s many ways to eavesdrop secrets in any scene

Fun fact: my game Shadowcrawl on Steam has the only official Faith crossover with Michael having the ability to appear and stalk you in the dungeon.

Also you can worship him for powers (you can worship a lot of stuff in that game)

I’ve finished drawing the Monastery, the Gore Garden, the Huntsman’s Hut, and the Mineshaft.

That’s the last of the above ground outdoor areas finished in “The Holy Body”

Got a few interiors left and that’s it for the map!!!

I keep meaning to post but getting off work too late

The hunting grounds is interconnected now. Enemy manager is properly implemented too

I drew a mineshaft entrance and tried to do the kind you see on a knoll in Scotland but idk I don’t like it yet. What do you think?

The path from the manor to the pond is fully built and the fishing mini game integrated!

Line tension & fishy stamina work now too.

Gonna finish knocking out the rest of the family hunting grounds and the surrounding areas next.

One of your tasks while hunting horrors is monitoring the health of the local ecology for anomalous plants and animals.

I drew the Maeburn Manor exterior. You’ll explore the family hunting grounds as you track horrors.

Aiming your quicksilver bullets at enemies is physically painful to them, but if you run out of nerve you’ll accidentally pop your musket & then you’re screwed.

I had made a basic text system.

But I realized I wanted it to support several large conversations with multiple people all happening at the same time

This allows more ways to interact with conversations like eavesdropping

Uploads still hate my colors for some reason 😭

Resident evil door transitions ended up looking real good when moving from room to room.

Also been working on the great hall and the main cast of characters you’ll be interacting with.

The videos always HATES my colors and they look funky online 😭
