I may have tried a jury trial or two.
I think my deepest contempt is reserved for Tom Cotton, Josh Hawley, and Ted Cruz. All smart guys, all graduates of Ivy League law schools and all people who know better.

I think my deepest contempt is reserved for Tom Cotton, Josh Hawley, and Ted Cruz. All smart guys, all graduates of Ivy League law schools, and all people who know better, who systematically lie to the public about the Law and the Constitution.

Another 100 trials and you'll match me, although I didn't keep track of my bench trials.

Although, to be fair, 75 trials is a very commendable number, far in excess of the number cases tried by folks who call themselves litigators.

Well Mr. Litigator, how many jury trials have you tried?

I suppose it's possible that you would beat my total, but it would be a surprise.

Don't piss in my ear and tell me it's raining.

I think you are missing the distinction between good lawyer or a good litigator and a good trial lawyer. Being good in front of a jury is a different skill set.

Also, Goldman and Raskin are not Senators, nor is VP Harris a Senator currently.

I was once talking to a juror after a trial who told me I “missed” a great argument. I explained to him that his point was valid, but you couldn’t make the argument without sounding like an asshole.

@juliedicaro.bsky.social Made this point earlier. It can't be made often enough.

I liked the remark, "The Court, . . ., now sets forth, as the government requested, particularized and factually based
grounds supporting the disclosure of the grand jury materials."

This how a judge says, "You asked for it."

And then we will deport them anyway.

I first read fecal as farcical, but it works nicely either way.

I’m sure it’s been done.

As I got older, the adjustment I had to make was get get the prep work done well enough that after the trial day was over, I would go home and get a good night's sleep rather than staying up fine tuning at the margins of the case.

Thank you for your coverage. Is it possible to post the filed documents so that readers can review them in full?

Attribution is for little people.

I swear they have a chat bot generating all these responses.

You should frame this.

If the FBI gives you $50,000 as part of an undercover scam, but has to drop the case, do they send you a 1099?

I generally try and give people the benefit of a doubt, but Stephen Miller is just plain evil.
October 5, 2025 at 4:23 AM
To be fair, finding a way to photograph Miller in a flattering way would be a steep challenge for the photographer.

Absolutely not, but the Trump DOJ has a presumption of irregularity.
