I lied I don't have photos of the tetrad cause I don't have virus pics, but it's cause you don't really have to watch them to detect them, you can just detect some of their genes or watch the damage they cause xD

so that's it for the tetrad, hopefully I can get more pictures at the lab c:

You don't normally "grow" parasites, you just watch them live under the microscope, but here's an (attempt of an) amoeba culture!!

Now, here come the cool and scary guys: parasites!!

Gut parasites are fun to watch cause they're *usually* not that dangerous and they're usually just dancing and swimming. Not so fun to watch a parasite in your blood tho... But hey, just wear bug repellent while in tropical areas and ur all good

And although you can identify them based on the medium and the cultures, it's always pretty to look at them under the microscope

Now it's time for my favorite part, time for some bacteria!!

Pretty fun to work with, specially messing w their DNA and making them do what we want :D but yeah I love my bacteria babies (except when theyre not where theyre supposed to be)

Also I forgot to post the microscopic images cause remember: that's the proper way to identify fungi ☝️🤓 (not really, there are better ways like with a MALDI-TOF or sequencing but meh, its easier and cheaper this way)

Moving stuff over here so I'm posting pics from the medical microbiology tetrad (or triad lmao)

We're starting w some fungi pics!! Here are some pics of ones I saw while working at the clinical lab and one from a normal lab class
