Google is really trying hard to get me to stop using it. I love trying to do a search from Safari only to have the results fully obscured by AI shit and a pop-up that tries to get trick you into clicking a link to install Chrome.

My “favorite” kind of content slop is the kind that explains how to do safety-critical hazardous tasks incorrectly.
A Facebook post with the text “Chainsaw Safety!” and a felling diagram that is incorrect. (Notch cut depth mislabeled as one-fifth trunk diameter, felling cut is too low relative to the back of the notch, no specification for hinge size, and the whole thing lacks a disclaimer that it is not a complete description of what it is about. Total notch angle is okay but the 30° bottom and 60° top is un-necessary, certainly for beginners.)

Can’t get over the delicacy of the purple in Camassia scilloides petals. I can keep looking at the flowers, and sometimes they seem pure white, but depending on the lighting I pick up on the hints of purple.
